Scottsdale's reputation as one of America's most livable cities, and its famously high standard of living only add to the visual splendor of the area. Many of the housing developments feature golf courses and nearby parks and recreation areas.

Wealthy part-time residents, deep-pocketed golfers and affluent families have quietly transformed north Scottsdale into a luxury-home hub in less than a decade.
The Layout of the City:
Scottsdale is 184.5 square miles stretching 31 miles from north to south.
There are three major districts the Scottsdale business community:
Downtown Scottsdale
Downtown Scottsdale is consider by most as the `Central Business District', featuring a roughly 2 square-mile area bordered by Chaparral Road on the north; Pima Freeway on the east, 64th Street on the west; and McKellips on the south.
An estimated 30,000 people work downtown and more than 200 times that number take advantage of the four million square feet of retail, restaurants and entertainment venues. There are multiple older townhome communities as well as several new loft type condominium communities including the new highrise condo waterfront project.
Midtown Scottsdale
Commonly known as the financial district, Scottsdale's midtown businesses district is comprised primarily of residential properties. There is also a large business core including a high concentration of banking/financial firms, insurance and pharmaceuticals.
Greater Scottsdale Airpark Area
The Greater Scottsdale Airpark Area includes the Scottsdale air port, the area surrounding the airport and the Sonoran Regional Course, a cluster of master-planned communities situated to the north.
The Greater Scottsdale Airpark Area has the third largest concentration of jobs in the Phoenix metro area. The Airpark is expected to become the state's largest employment center by 2010.

We have lived in Scottsdale since 1981 and specalize residential Real Estate in the Scottsdale, northeast Phoenix and Fountain Hills real estate.
From Novemher of 2003 to November of 2004, Scottsdale median single family home prices have increased 33%. In 2003 the median price for an existing home was $322,000 and in November of 2004 the median price had jumped to $430,000. By January 2005, the median price of an exsiting single family home in Scottsdale was $458,690 . As 2006 closed with the median price for a resale home in Scottsdale is $580,000.
During that same time period, the median price of an existing condo in Scottsdale increased from $186,500 to $253,350.
Scottsdale remains a popular and desirable relocation destination.
